Punakha Dzong (Old Palace)

Paro Taktshang (In 809 where Guru Rinpoche Meditiate)

The Cave was named (Taktshang) after Guru Rinpoche flew into the cave from (Kurtoe singye Dzong) in Eastern Bhutan riding on tigress.

Visa Information
Tourist nationality of India, Bangladesh and Maldives can obtain Visa at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with minimum of 6 month validity ( Indians nationals can also use their Voters Identity card(VIC)).
All others tourist can obtain a visa clearance before travel to Bhutan. Visas are processed through an online system by licensed Bhutanese tour operator like us (Chushel Tours and Travel) or through a foreign travel agent.
You are required to send photo-copy of your passport to us where we can apply for your visa. The Visa will be processed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday (including a USD %40 visa fee) has been wire transferred and received in the TCB bank account. After TCB approved we will mail to you.
While you are coming to Bhutan you had bring that visa clearance letter printed (from your mail I had send you). At your point of entry you will be required to show your visa clearance letter, the visa will then be stamped into your passport.
Tentative Festival Dates 2024

Tshechu is a religious festival meaning "tenth day" held annually in various temples, monasteries and dzongs throughout the country. The Tshechu is a religious event celebrated on tenth day of a month of the lunar calendar corresponding to the birthday of Guru Rimpoche (Guru Padmasambhava). However the exact month of the Tshechu varies from place to place and temple to temple. Tshechus are grand events where entire communities come together to witness religious mask dances, receive blessings and socialize.
